A celebrated singer, actress, and author, Evans rose to fame in the 1940s and ’50s alongside her husband, legendary cowboy Roy Rogers. The two were married in 1947 at the Flying L Ranch in Davis, Oklahoma—right in the heart of cowgirl country.
